Maria Rodriguez Pino

Maria graduated from Andres Bello Catholic University in Venezuela with a bachelor’s degree in public accounting. In Venezuela, Maria worked as an auditor in a public accounting firm and held roles in financial reporting and accounts receivables with several international companies in the finance sector. Maria moved to the United States in 2018. She joined Prosperity in 2023 as an Administrative Assistant in their Houston office. In this role, she supports the accounting and tax teams with various tasks including client outreach, communicating with compliance agencies, and ensuring the timely processing and assembly of accounting and tax projects. In her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time with friends, walking, and enjoying nature.

• Favorite thing about my job: Our team is awesome – regardless of or title or role, we support each other to achieve our common goals.
• Favorite vacation you’ve taken: I have visited some amazing places over the years, and choosing just one as my favorite is quite challenging. But I would choose two places that share what I love most: the beach. One of these is La Tortuga Island in my country. Experiencing nature to the fullest on its stunning white sand beaches, despite a somewhat stressful journey to get there, remains unforgettable. After a work trip, spending a few days in Bali, Indonesia, enjoying its beautiful beaches, local culture, relaxing massages, and amazing views was a dream come true
• What is your side gig/passion project/hobby? My hobby is designing and crafting with silver, using jewelry-making techniques to create beautiful earrings, rings, and pendants
• Favorite way to celebrate your birthday: Spending time with close friends and family, enjoying a relaxed dinner, and having fun together.
• I have an irrational fear of: hurricanes and earthquakes.
