James Martin

James Martin graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BA in Accounting and an MS in Accounting Information Systems. He worked for Chrysler Financial Corporation prior to joining Deloitte as a Senior Manager. In 2002, he began at Cendrowski Corporate Advisors, and now serves as a Senior Manager with Prosperity Partners.

• Favorite thing about my job: What I enjoy most about my job is the variety of cases and matters with which I am involved. Every day is different in some way.
• What is the best dish you can cook? The best dish I can cook is New England Clam Chowder. I learned the recipe from the restaurant I worked at in high school.
• Favorite vacation you’ve taken: When I was in high school, I traveled with our Spanish class to the Yucatan Peninsula. This was before Cancun turned into the destination resort it is today, and was still a small, quiet beach town. We toured the Mayan sites, and it was beautiful.
• What is your side gig/passion project/hobby? Since 2001 I have coached the ACHA Men’s Division 2 Hockey team at Michigan State University! We compete against other collegiate teams across the United States.
• Favorite concert you’ve attended: My favorite concert I attended was Metallica with Ted Nugent and Kid Rock on 12/31/1999, the Millenium New Year, at the Pontiac Silverdome. Great show, but the angst of the Y2K event added an element of suspense to the evening!
• If you could have dinner with one Marvel character, who would it be and why? If I could have dinner with one Marvel character it would be Blackagar Boltagon because he wouldn’t say anything (hopefully).
